Dawna Montell

DJ Dawna Montell is a veteran house music artist and internationally respected DJ whose career spans more than three decades. Originally emerging from Southern California’s vibrant nightclub scene in the early 1980s, she quickly built a reputation for her deep knowledge of dance music and magnetic presence behind the decks.

Over the years, Dawna has developed a global profile, performing at major clubs and dance events across the United States and abroad. She is best known for her long-standing residencies at The Abbey and The Chapel in West Hollywood, where she has been a resident DJ for more than 20 years, and at Chill Bar in Palm Springs, as well as serving as resident DJ on 100.9NRG FM in Palm Springs.

In recent years, Dawna has brought her high-energy house sets to events such as South Beach Houston and “Madonna Birthday Celebration” events in West Hollywood, where she teamed up with fellow DJs to honor pop and dance music icons. Her sets are characterized by driving rhythms, soulful grooves, and deep respect for house music tradition.
